Tumbled Flagstone (sandstone)
A very traditional Tumbled Flagstone with a defined riven surface. Used traditionally in the UK in farmhouses, barns, church’s, and cottages, it is now extremely popular as both an external paving stone and a traditional internal flagstone.
Sandstone is split from large blocks to form tiles, and the resulting surface has a sandy gritty texture, giving it a slip resistance ideal for external use.
We also supply the Flagstone in a tumbled finish which smooths of the roughness of the texture, and produces a flagstones with a more antique feel, which when laid in large sizes creates a classical Tumbled Flagstone floor.
